PVPSIT breaks all records - 4 exams on a single day

My alarm started aloud at 7.00 am but i was so lazy to get up and finally woke up at 7.30 am( after all, it was software engineering exam today and the faculty for it mr.satya kalyan or sattu wont spare me this time if my score decreases). Rushed up for the college and as usual reached late. I knew it was going to be a special day because i had to write FOUR exams today! But, never mind, I am a genius!

around 8.45 am - The much awaited software engineering exam began. We were given a set of questions the previous day and told that all questions would come from that set. But, even after having such a boon, we were unprepared. The exam was going on in the seminar hall and there were 4 dedicated monsters(invigilators) with wide opened eyes , each one patrolling his/her own column.

How strong or talented the invigilator may be, no one can beat us and as usual i began peeping in the paper of the gal in front of me. [lucky to have a topper sitting right in front of me] and that's it i had the key with me! After jotting down all the answers , just moved my paper a bit to the right and in no time the entire set of gals behind me had their papers filled.

The exam was over exactly after 20 minutes and we all came out scolding sattu for giving 5 questions out of the set! At least not in the last internal, one should try to decrease the averages, right? And we all took a resolution, Sattu should be taught a lesson before we leave the college. We had almost two hours for the next exam Data Mining at 11.00. We had all the 20 questions and answers which were to be given in the exam! Data Mining is dealt by Mr.Swamy and he is a true Saint. So sweet of him, he leaked the entire paper for us to increase our scores as this was the last internal and the last chance for one to score!

So, as we were perfectly ready for the exam, without wasting time, we spent these 2 hours preparing for the last exam of the day which was computer networks lab! I hadn't attended the lab sessions for more than a month because of i,freak and shaastra. I knew nothing about any program and kept on asking each of my friend to explain the programs. Huh?! And what did i get ?? Each person in our class has his own style of programming! The same program was done in 3 different styles by 3 diff people. The remaining time , what all i did was going through each style and deciding which style i should adopt for which program.

at 11.00am - The time for data mining exam. Not more than 3 minutes it took to answer those 20 objective questions and lo! i had the entire key with me. That's it and then began looking at each other. I started searching for confused faces in case they needed my help! Helped a few people, sorted a few confusions, each time escaping the eyes of the examiner.

And the second exam of the day was done just as a cakewalk. And then they were two more left out. Multimedia and Web Design at 1.20pm and then Computer Networks Lab at 2.00pm. We had the 20 questions for Web Design, we scanned through the textbook to find answers for them and the Paper was ready but for a few ambiguous points for which we approached Mr.Shyam, the faculty for this subject. (Though this guy was very strict all through the semester, later he realized the necessity to be friendly with students. Phew!! Thank God for that, i couldn't tolerate his dialogs anymore.) Quickly he sorted out the things and revealed some answers. Amidst all this, we got a chance to have a quick glance at his system. He was having the entire textbook as a soft copy. Alas, i dint get my pen drive that day!

I asked sir if he could give it to someone else and there was one of ma classmate who has his own website. He took the copy and uploaded to his website from where anyone could download and access it. Wow! I loved this!

The only thing which was troubling all of us and forcing us to bite our nails was the computer networks lab. We were never serious about that lab. The lab is scheduled every Saturday and this semester there were so many public holidays on Saturdays. Mr.Vandan Kumar, the man for this lab was so friendly with us as if he was the student next door. We had loads and loads of fun the few lab sessions which we attended. I had attended very very few of them as mentioned earlier bcoz of ifreak. I couldnt go through all the programs, i was confident about some and i knew the logic for the remaining.

around 1.15pm - we all geared up for the next exam Web Design near the seminar hall. Few of our juniors whose classroom was beside the hall, came to have a casual chat with us and we enlightened them about the life in final year. All papers getting leaked, Faculty being so friendly and our dominance in some of the decisions about exam schedules and venues. (Will never forget these days in my life)

Gosh! We saw Mr.P Venkateswara Rao coming as the examiner for this exam. Gawd, the entire student community of PVPSIT hates him, firstly for his bald head, secondly for his peculiar accent of adding the 'a' sound after every english word. And we all knew how he invigilates each exam. As soon as he would enter the hall, he would close the doors and if any latecomers, they had to had a irritating discussion with him on why he was late. And then at the end of the exam, his peculiar style of collecting the answer sheets. All he would do is say: "Close your pens'a', Take paper from the back'a', give it to the front'a' " Gawd, no one knows why he adds that 'a' sound after every sentence. All were a bit tensed since he was the examiner.

The exam began and even Shyam ditched us in a few bits. He gave them in a very ambiguous way. We again started looking at each other and believe me, what we engineering guys at PVPSIT have devised methods of copying, I think there should a paper presentation on it.

I could see a few using their cell phones to msg the key and a few using their face to deliver the answer. The forehead is used to say that the answer for that question is option a. Similarly, nose is used for b, mouth for c and chin for d. And using this pre-histroic method, we all began communicating for those few unknown answers. Not easy but neither difficult as well, we finished this as well.

And now was the time for the toughest exam of the day - Computer Networks Lab!
Everyone was ready with their observations and records trying to have the final glance at the programs. We all occupied the lab and were waiting for Mr.Vandan to come. Till then, we were all busy planning and trying to devise a new method of copying. One of my classmates Harsha, came up with an idea to upload all the programs from his pen drive to a shared disk drive from where anyone could access the programs but little did he knew that our lab administrator wasn't that dumb.

But, students never give up. We excel in finding some or the other way for copying. Many people had already created a miniature version of each program on small sized slips. A 30 lines program was written on a 3cmx3cm paper with such a small font size and 10 such slips were so easily fit into the pockets! And students who were tech savvy and had a good cellphone with a cam in it couldn't wait to take out some snaps of the programs from their record. And then the special 4x zoom of each phone would help them during the exam!

Soon, sir arrived and the exam began. Lucky enough that i got a known program. It didn't take much time for me to finish the exam. Hardly, half an hour. Thank the heavens!!! But,i opted to stay for longer than half an hour and try to help my fellowmen and fellow-women. I dint submit my program and was waiting for others to complete theirs.

The student at the back of me soon passed a slip to me and requested me to identify which program was on it, as he had forgotten already! After all the font size was so small. I quickly went through it squeezing my eyes and told him what he wanted. And then it was the chance for a gal behind me. She wanted to swap the places with me so that she could discuss with someone else sitting next to me. As soon as our sir turned his head, we swapped. Wait, i am not done yet. The most interesting thing is to happen yet.

Soon, the guy behind me called me and handed me Harsha's pen drive having all the programs in it. First, i was shocked, a bit scared , but grabbed it and inserted it into the front USB and i had the program which the gal next to me was cracking her head for! I copied it into the system and asked her to logout from her id. Quickly, i entered her id and copied the program into her account and came back to my account immediately. Felt so happy to help someone in the exam. And then, i passed on the pen drive to other people so that they could help themselves.

Finally , showed the program to sir and lo, i had full marks for it. Wow, loved it. 25/25 for the lab. Indeed, it was a memorable day for all of us.

....And i don't know how this went on to become the lengthiest post of my blog!!!! Hope you enjoyed it.

But nyways as u've said in d posting, Studs adopt new techniques for copying n d same trend happens everywhere...Nice posting dude...U'r day being screwed up writing xams xams n xams ....
