Pasions and Fashions

Itz been long i have written an article and i knew my readers were getting bored. I wanted a topic and who could be better than my friends to ask? And as vivek suggested this topic, i loved it because firstly, it was strange and secondly, it was challenging. So, discover the world of the inner fashionable passion .......

Let me define both of them first -
"Passion is a burning desire in your deepest corner of the heart which when made true brings out the eternal divine in you and all those feelings pressed down."
"Fashion can be the outer beautiful decoration to your personality."

Passion is a love - it is the energy which can take your life from darkness to light but sometimes, it can also burn you. Passions are good because they give our life a direction, a motive, a way to proceed. But, if a passion is too deep, one can do anything or go to any extent to have it and that is when they say 'love destroys'.

Fashion is a method - it is the way using which people reach out to the audience, make things look beautiful to the world. Fashion, in other words is doing the same thing differently. It requires creativity and innovation which again come straight from the heart. But, sometimes, fashion can be cranky too.

If you have a passion but are looking for a proper way to get it out - there could not be a better way rather than making it fashionable. Make your passion, whether it be music, dance, art, literature, technology , whatever , to be the most fashionable in this world and you will be on the top of this world - on the terrace of success. So do not make fashion your passion but in fact, your passion to become a fashion.

End of the most successful Sem

This 28th November saw the end of one of the most successful semesters of my engineering career - the 4.1 semester. It was indeed a very special, happy and the best one. It all began when an unbelievable confidence caught hold of me the day i got selected for a job in TATA Consultancy Services. And then there was no looking back. Getting a job in TCS wasn't that easy though. I had to work a lot especially for the vocabulary section as i was always weak in it. I cleared the written test with a little bit of hard work and an equal amount of luck! The first round of interview (Technical) was a cakewalk while the second one (management) being a bit tougher on my confidence level. The final one (HR Round) was a mix of both. I started tasting the honey of success when my name was read out from the selected candidates list (Though i was confident of this and had raised both of my hands when asked 'who feels they would be selected?') but my happiness knew no bounds when i was granted permission by my family to work in TCS for 2 years. (Well, actually my family never wanted me to do anything apart from joining the family business)

And then began a great journey. No sooner did the actual classes begin and we had our first Teamone session the immediate saturday. The session saw the re-birth of the idea to host a technical festival in our college which later blossomed to become one of the best student organized techno-managerial fests of vijayawada - i, Freak. This fest, which was a dream since my second year, finally came true this time and i had the best support i could ever get - Prinicpal, H.O.D, Vivek, Harsha and RaviTeja. i, Freak went on to become one of my biggest achievements of life and I am proud to be a part of it.

Parallelism is something not only present in Geometry but also real life. Parallel to i,Freak i had another fest (this time a literary one) - Synergy. I had attended Synergy in my 2nd year and then i dreamt that one day i should conduct one such festival in my college also. Though this dream was coming true with i,Freak , Synergy also happened to me just a few weeks after joining The Felines. I hesitated first when vivek told me about Felines because
i) I never wanted to associate with any other team except Teamone
ii) I felt very lazy to be present somewhere every wednesday.
But, thanks to vivek, The Felines just went on to become another feather on my glorious cap of engineering and so did Synergy.

During all these busy days balancing the work between Synergy (which happened to be on Sep 16) and i, Freak (which happened to be on Sep 21 & 22) , I got a few calls from other friends for SHAASTRA'07. I agreed but couldn't assure them of some good contribution from my side. As soon as i, Freak ended on Sep 22nd, hardly i could rest for some time and then joined the contraption team adroits. I wont say we performed exceptionally well in Shaastra but hey, we were not so bad. One of the judges was extremely impressed by our presentation (thanks to naz for that).

After the end of Shaastra began the project fever. Satya Kalyan wanted us to submit some research paper. Thanks to RaviTeja who did most of the work. (Frankly speaking i still dont know what my project is all about though i am the team leader) And then the ultimate battle began with JNTU semester end exams. Though i had my saviour ALL IN ONE with me but still JNTU exams aren't simple nuts to crack.

Finally, my semester ended with me going to Ahmedabad to purchase some garments for my dad's showroom. (Thank GOD that i could be of some help to my always nagging and complaining family this time).

This taste of success did change me as a person completely. What i was while 4.1 began and what I am now are two contrasting characters. Now, I am more focused, work oriented (wanting to do something) and maybe unfortunately lost time to understand others. Maybe that was the reason i had to land up in two controversies, one with Vikas while other with Chanti. Sorry guys, maybe i had become too careless at times. I would try my best to always balance my professional and personal life without making one affect the other.

But, this is not the end. I have a very very long long way to go and I am absolutely ready for it.
The next sem is going to be bigger and brighter, me now being the secretary of Felines, with one more synergy to go and with the launch of a Felines MAG soon. And calls keep coming for participating in SAARANG, KURUKSHETRA, IIM Blore, BITS Goa and many more. I am waiting excitedly for the new sem to begin.

Saawariya

Saawariya is the beloved who is always in love. But not every lover can qualify as Saawariya. Only the lover who stands the test of time…who overcomes all obstacles…who doesn’t care whether he gets the girl or not…as long as he’s consumed by love…as long as he remains in a perpetual state of " being in love … "

That man, that rare lover, is Saawariya.

Before reading this review or before you watch the movie, just check if you have the following qualities:

1) You truly madly deeply love something.
2) You appreciate art, poetry and people.
3) You have the guts to accept the truth.

If you qualify all of the above, you qualify as a person to watch this film. But, if you don't , please don't watch this film and criticize it for it is a masterpiece, a timeless classic. A story which breaks all the boundaries for love, which has no time, no location, no reference....it has only love - pure and selfless love.

Starcast:

Ranbir Kapoor as Ranbir Raj:
He has nothing - no family, no money, no job, no qualification but he has the purest soul in the world, the most innocent heart in the world. [Please don't mistake innocence for immaturity. There is a lot of difference between the two.] He has the power to fight against sorrow and remain always happy. He has the charm to bring a smile on others' face.

When you read his name, you might be wondering why is Raj added to Ranbir. But, it is apt as Sanjay Leela Bhansali has created history by brining back Raj Kapoor to bollywood. Ranbir definitely reminds you of Raj Kapoor and steals your heart.

Sonam Kapoor as Sakeena:
She comes from a muslim family. She hasn't had the pleasure of having parents but she isn't alone. She has her strict aunt and her friendly caretaker with her. She is truly and madly in love with Iman [played by salman khan]. She doesn't know from where he came, what he does, where he is heading to but those few days which she spent with her made a lot of space for Iman in her heart.

MashaAllah, she is so cute, beautiful and a badmaash as well. But, every day of her life is spent waiting for Iman who left her but promised her to be back on the night of Id-Ul-Fatir.

Salman Khan as Iman:
No one knows who he is, from where he came, where he is heading to but what all we know is he is a man with love for those who love him.

Rani Mukherjee as Gulab:
I must appreciate Sanjay's guts for the way he represented Rani in this film. Gulab is a prostitute who is, like others, very unhappy in her life but when she met Raj, his innocence and charm, she couldn't stop herself from falling in love with Raj. But, alas prostitutes don't have the right to love someone. She realizes this fact and remains happy in her own world but still loves and respects Raj.

Zohra Sehgal as Lillypup:
She is an old woman who has been abandoned by her Son. All she has is a house which she gives on hire for paying guests and earns her livelihood. She never smiled nor sang a song for the past years but until one day when Raj comes to stay in her house, things change for her.

Each and every scene between Lillypup and Raj were so touching and brilliantly done.

Performances:
All performances are brilliant. Salman has nothing much to do neither his role is of much importance to anybody except for sakeena.

Music is simply divine. Sanjay must be appreciated for his guts to showcase reality in the movie.
If you think that Raj and Sakeena settle down with each other, you are wrong. Raj loves sakeena wholeheartedly but Sakeena loves Iman truly. Iman isn't a person who makes fake promises. And that is the night when Raj happily leaves Sakeena for her love and qualifies as Saawariya...

Time Up! Sorry...

10 -9 -8 -7 -6 -5 -4 -3 -2 err.......1.75 -1.5
umm...... 1.25.......hmmm......1

yeah, you can do it dude........come on

0.6 - ah! - 0.5 - e! - 0.4 - i! - 0.3 - o! 0.2 uh! alas........0.1 and finally 0

TIME IS UP! SORRY...

This is what happens the first time we try to solve a mystery or a challenge. Some give up while some go ahead for another chance. Those who go ahead, read on....

This time we end up at around 0.3 or so by making some progress because by this time we had had an earlier experience of solving it. Experience always helps and enjoys a greater edge over knowledge. But, this shouldn't help you to decipher that knowledge isn't necessary. Knowledge and Experience do go hand in hand. But, there is something which is of higher importance in today's competitive world.

It is of utmost importance because today people want everything to be perfect and they want it when they expect it. Neither a minute later nor earlier. So, we need to match up with the pace. Our skills, knowledge and Experience would be of sheer waste if we lack in this particular field.

Few people deliver it quite before the deadline while some take hours later , but only few deliver it perfectly. And that is why it isn't everyone's cup of tea. Few people might have understood about what I am trying to say while a few must be still scratching their heads. But i would like both of you, those who got it and those who dint get it to answer a few questions to get it better!

Time: 5 mins

1) What is the central idea of the passage?
a. Knowledge Vs. Experience.
b. Kinds of people in this world.
c. Time Management.
d. The author is just trying to pass time.

2) What does 'It' refer to in the phrase "
It is of utmost importance because...."?
a. The balance between knowledge and experience
b. Being with the right set of people
c. Demarcating oneself from others and projecting one's talents better
d. The skill of maintaining perfection in timing

3) What happens when we are trying to solve a mystery or challenge for the first time?
a. We enjoy it
b. The mystery says "Time is Up! Sorry..."
c. We loose it
d. Different things happen for different people

4) "
And that is why it isn't everyone's cup of tea" What is the author trying to say here?
a. All people don't prefer to drink tea
b. Many people don't have the art of doing things perfectly
c. Not everyone of us can do things at time
d. Few people drink tea in cup while others drink it in the glass

5) Your suggestion to the author would be
a. What an innovative way of writing a blog
b. Great sense of humor
c. Dumb ass! Stop writing garbage and don't waste my time
d. You have set an example for us

Hey, now don't go and read the entire thing again....you have only five minutes.....4.....3....2....1....

TIME IS UP! SORRY...

PVPSIT breaks all records - 4 exams on a single day

My alarm started aloud at 7.00 am but i was so lazy to get up and finally woke up at 7.30 am( after all, it was software engineering exam today and the faculty for it mr.satya kalyan or sattu wont spare me this time if my score decreases). Rushed up for the college and as usual reached late. I knew it was going to be a special day because i had to write FOUR exams today! But, never mind, I am a genius!

around 8.45 am - The much awaited software engineering exam began. We were given a set of questions the previous day and told that all questions would come from that set. But, even after having such a boon, we were unprepared. The exam was going on in the seminar hall and there were 4 dedicated monsters(invigilators) with wide opened eyes , each one patrolling his/her own column.

How strong or talented the invigilator may be, no one can beat us and as usual i began peeping in the paper of the gal in front of me. [lucky to have a topper sitting right in front of me] and that's it i had the key with me! After jotting down all the answers , just moved my paper a bit to the right and in no time the entire set of gals behind me had their papers filled.

The exam was over exactly after 20 minutes and we all came out scolding sattu for giving 5 questions out of the set! At least not in the last internal, one should try to decrease the averages, right? And we all took a resolution, Sattu should be taught a lesson before we leave the college. We had almost two hours for the next exam Data Mining at 11.00. We had all the 20 questions and answers which were to be given in the exam! Data Mining is dealt by Mr.Swamy and he is a true Saint. So sweet of him, he leaked the entire paper for us to increase our scores as this was the last internal and the last chance for one to score!

So, as we were perfectly ready for the exam, without wasting time, we spent these 2 hours preparing for the last exam of the day which was computer networks lab! I hadn't attended the lab sessions for more than a month because of i,freak and shaastra. I knew nothing about any program and kept on asking each of my friend to explain the programs. Huh?! And what did i get ?? Each person in our class has his own style of programming! The same program was done in 3 different styles by 3 diff people. The remaining time , what all i did was going through each style and deciding which style i should adopt for which program.

at 11.00am - The time for data mining exam. Not more than 3 minutes it took to answer those 20 objective questions and lo! i had the entire key with me. That's it and then began looking at each other. I started searching for confused faces in case they needed my help! Helped a few people, sorted a few confusions, each time escaping the eyes of the examiner.

And the second exam of the day was done just as a cakewalk. And then they were two more left out. Multimedia and Web Design at 1.20pm and then Computer Networks Lab at 2.00pm. We had the 20 questions for Web Design, we scanned through the textbook to find answers for them and the Paper was ready but for a few ambiguous points for which we approached Mr.Shyam, the faculty for this subject. (Though this guy was very strict all through the semester, later he realized the necessity to be friendly with students. Phew!! Thank God for that, i couldn't tolerate his dialogs anymore.) Quickly he sorted out the things and revealed some answers. Amidst all this, we got a chance to have a quick glance at his system. He was having the entire textbook as a soft copy. Alas, i dint get my pen drive that day!

I asked sir if he could give it to someone else and there was one of ma classmate who has his own website. He took the copy and uploaded to his website from where anyone could download and access it. Wow! I loved this!

The only thing which was troubling all of us and forcing us to bite our nails was the computer networks lab. We were never serious about that lab. The lab is scheduled every Saturday and this semester there were so many public holidays on Saturdays. Mr.Vandan Kumar, the man for this lab was so friendly with us as if he was the student next door. We had loads and loads of fun the few lab sessions which we attended. I had attended very very few of them as mentioned earlier bcoz of ifreak. I couldnt go through all the programs, i was confident about some and i knew the logic for the remaining.

around 1.15pm - we all geared up for the next exam Web Design near the seminar hall. Few of our juniors whose classroom was beside the hall, came to have a casual chat with us and we enlightened them about the life in final year. All papers getting leaked, Faculty being so friendly and our dominance in some of the decisions about exam schedules and venues. (Will never forget these days in my life)

Gosh! We saw Mr.P Venkateswara Rao coming as the examiner for this exam. Gawd, the entire student community of PVPSIT hates him, firstly for his bald head, secondly for his peculiar accent of adding the 'a' sound after every english word. And we all knew how he invigilates each exam. As soon as he would enter the hall, he would close the doors and if any latecomers, they had to had a irritating discussion with him on why he was late. And then at the end of the exam, his peculiar style of collecting the answer sheets. All he would do is say: "Close your pens'a', Take paper from the back'a', give it to the front'a' " Gawd, no one knows why he adds that 'a' sound after every sentence. All were a bit tensed since he was the examiner.

The exam began and even Shyam ditched us in a few bits. He gave them in a very ambiguous way. We again started looking at each other and believe me, what we engineering guys at PVPSIT have devised methods of copying, I think there should a paper presentation on it.

I could see a few using their cell phones to msg the key and a few using their face to deliver the answer. The forehead is used to say that the answer for that question is option a. Similarly, nose is used for b, mouth for c and chin for d. And using this pre-histroic method, we all began communicating for those few unknown answers. Not easy but neither difficult as well, we finished this as well.

And now was the time for the toughest exam of the day - Computer Networks Lab!
Everyone was ready with their observations and records trying to have the final glance at the programs. We all occupied the lab and were waiting for Mr.Vandan to come. Till then, we were all busy planning and trying to devise a new method of copying. One of my classmates Harsha, came up with an idea to upload all the programs from his pen drive to a shared disk drive from where anyone could access the programs but little did he knew that our lab administrator wasn't that dumb.

But, students never give up. We excel in finding some or the other way for copying. Many people had already created a miniature version of each program on small sized slips. A 30 lines program was written on a 3cmx3cm paper with such a small font size and 10 such slips were so easily fit into the pockets! And students who were tech savvy and had a good cellphone with a cam in it couldn't wait to take out some snaps of the programs from their record. And then the special 4x zoom of each phone would help them during the exam!

Soon, sir arrived and the exam began. Lucky enough that i got a known program. It didn't take much time for me to finish the exam. Hardly, half an hour. Thank the heavens!!! But,i opted to stay for longer than half an hour and try to help my fellowmen and fellow-women. I dint submit my program and was waiting for others to complete theirs.

The student at the back of me soon passed a slip to me and requested me to identify which program was on it, as he had forgotten already! After all the font size was so small. I quickly went through it squeezing my eyes and told him what he wanted. And then it was the chance for a gal behind me. She wanted to swap the places with me so that she could discuss with someone else sitting next to me. As soon as our sir turned his head, we swapped. Wait, i am not done yet. The most interesting thing is to happen yet.

Soon, the guy behind me called me and handed me Harsha's pen drive having all the programs in it. First, i was shocked, a bit scared , but grabbed it and inserted it into the front USB and i had the program which the gal next to me was cracking her head for! I copied it into the system and asked her to logout from her id. Quickly, i entered her id and copied the program into her account and came back to my account immediately. Felt so happy to help someone in the exam. And then, i passed on the pen drive to other people so that they could help themselves.

Finally , showed the program to sir and lo, i had full marks for it. Wow, loved it. 25/25 for the lab. Indeed, it was a memorable day for all of us.

....And i don't know how this went on to become the lengthiest post of my blog!!!! Hope you enjoyed it.

Different View Points!!!

It is common for one to like something and his dear ones to like something else. Yes, we are made from the same material but have different opinions.
Our origin is same but we have different paths. We all have a hiding dew drop in us!

All drops originate from the same origin but as they follow the path of the branch, they all depict a different reflection of the same flower.

All of us originate from the same origin but as we follow the path of life, we all depict a different viewpoint of the same theory.

Who in this world can define what is right or what is wrong? Who can demarcate between the good and bad.

Having a chick in my dinner is wrong for me, but for some, it is a pleasure to have it's lollipop! If expressing my inner feelings in public doesn't make me feel something wrong, my friend calls me an over-expressive plastic face for he doesn't find it right!

Different viewpoints we develop as we grow, observing our family and society. And that is what makes humans diverse with more of variety to look at, And who would disagree to the fact that variety is the spice of life!

Let the drops make their own way, it looks beautiful to see them in a different path.

There were times when I whiled away my time dancing to mad remixes and there were times i used to be awake till late nights completing my assignments and preparing for exams. There were times i spent time at theaters watching silly comedy and there were times i spent discussing seriously with ma colleagues. But, there has never been a month so tightly packed for me. Never before in life have i been so busy!
30 days of september have been completely packed for me -

Sep 11 - 20: 3rd mid and synergy together!
Sep 21 - 22: will become a total freak
Sep 23 - 30: a visit to ahmd and bck to clg!

And then follows shaastra - my final chance to be a IITM - donno if i wud b able to make it or not. It feels good to be so busy and working but at the same time fesls bad coz i am ignoring my family & health.

Buying Potatoes

There were days when i used to go with my dad on his bajaj chetak to have a c bottle of coke and hot onion pakodas and my dad used to get busy selecting good looking vegetables and putting them in his covers which he used to get from home. Buying vegetables was a work imposed on men by women!!!

Ten years later, today when my mom told me to get some potatoes from Reliance Fresh, there was nothing which stopped me from doing it because shopping groceries is such fun and stylish these days. Just get in to the store with your stylish membership card, tear a plastic cover from the stand, select your potatoes put them in, measure the weight and get going. Shopping has evoluted to such gr8 extent in the past few years - its just got more stylish, fashionable and freaky.

When was the last time you had problems carrying your jumbo sized 800 paged book? The next time you carry ur Java complete reference..... feel like ur in the gym exercising to build great abs!!

What exactly is meant by Engineering in PVPSIT?? oops..its not pvpsit anymore its pvpsst now which stands for Prasad V Potluri Siddhartha School Of Technology .....from books to timings......everything sucks......this new princi-pal has landed from some boeing543 aircraft as the re incarnation of hitler probably.....

he wants the gates to be closed at sharp 8.30 and open them only at 3.30
every morning comes out for rounds and inspects each class ( guess would have been better in a watchman's job )
on the whole it feels like we're back to school..forget that we ever were in college!!!

KYO KISI KO VAFA K BADLE VAFA NAHI MILTI ?
KYO KISI KLO KHUSHI K BADLE KHUSHI NAHI MILTI ?
YE PYAR ME KYO HOTA HAI ?

agar har kisi ko vafa ke badle vafa milti aur
har kisi ko khushi ke badle khushi milti
to phir use pyaar kaun kehta? sab use samjhauta kehte.........
pyaar ka to matlab hi yeh hai ki...........
jab tum kisi se pyaar karo to aisa pyaar karo...
ki use tumhe pyaar karne ki zarurat hi na pade....

Is Business an art?

"Art is that which is made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind and/or spirit." Source: wikipedia

Business - wat is it? an art, a theory or a demand?

Business is a theory: What is supply chain policy? How much tax can we avoid using donations and social work? etc etc

Business is an art: the art of attracting people's senses to ur product. Making d customers feel a sense of loss when he rejects ur product!

Business is a demand: today every industry needs a person who has gud management and business skills...so it is d need of d hour...d demand!

Patience

Hi all! Good morning! I knew you were waiting for me.... but were you not a bit angry or irritated sometimes?? Well....well for every human being it is important to have patience. I know you have worked hard. I know you are not wrong. But still sometimes things will go wrong with you, at that time all you need is patience.

Believe in yourself and have patience you will definitely get your result. And as i always said dont loose ur trust in me i.e ur life.

Whenever you feel low, you feel unjustified, you feel unfair dont worry
just have some patience and you will get what you want...

Life in its own words...

Hello everyone, You all know me very well. I am none other than human life. I am a very interesting and amusing personnel. I will make you laugh as well make you cry. I will teach you many things and I will also leave things to your understanding. On the whole, what I can say is its upto you how you consider me. If you consider me in a positive way I can be the best companion for you guyz hence removing the necessity for friends.
Make me your companion and i will take you to new heights.

For those of you who think i am beautiful, thanks and let me tell i will always be with you whenever you need me.

And now for those who have a grudge kinda thing, who think I have hurted them or sort of, do remember whatever i have done to you, its only because of your good. Dont misunderstand me.

First of all i need to know whether you trust me or not coz trust is very very important in relationships. If at any point of time in our relationship, you loose trust in me, this affair will become very painful and hurtful for you. So if u really trust in me then proceed otherwise close this window and get back to your work.

Hmmmm... well.... lets start our new beautiful relationship. Alright i need to leave now. Bye cya.

How yashrajfilms themselves are giving rise to piracy:

How yashrajfilms themselves are giving rise to piracy:
First they started it with Dhoom:2 and now they are doing it again with TaRaRumPum.

They dubbed Dhoom:2 in telugu and tamil and that was the reason many people in andhra pradesh and tamil nadu went for watching the pirated hindi versions rather than watching the movie in regional languages.

People here are great fans of bollywood stars and they cant see stars like hrithik ,ash saif and rani speak in telugu or tamil. It disturbs the basic entertainment of the movie. And now they are again going to suffer for their movie TaRaRumPum.
Not only they even movies like Krrish, Guru, Vivah suffered from piracy only because they were dubbed in regional languages and people here couldn't accept it. I hope atleast if someone makes them aware of their loss, they will change

For god sake plzz stop dubbing Hindi movies!!
